- What size dozer do I need for a farm dam?
- Small dams and tracks are often done with a D4–D6 class machine. Larger dams, heavy clay or rock may need a D7 or bigger. Soil suitability and compaction matter as much as machine size.
- Is a dozer or excavator better for clearing?
- Dozers clear large, open areas quickly. Excavators with grabs or mulchers are more selective around retained trees, fences and steep ground.
